Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Authorities reported they were contacted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Approximately 50 vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Officers say they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish fluid.

The substance had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then found multiple other smeared vehicles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials say early analysis suggest the fluid was likely human blood.

"There is still no clue as to where it came from; officials are currently not aware of any injuries in relation with the event," they added.

City officials announced they were working "to resolve the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for details.

A high-ranking representative said the incident made him without words and needed to be solved promptly.

"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the pain of the far-right violent incident half a decade ago," he posted on social media, referring to the death of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in five years prior.
